Innovation agency Invent Baltics (INVENT) was founded in 2006 to offer a wide variety of consulting services to businesses and R&D organizations across Europe with a mission to help innovative technological ideas to reach the market quickly and effectively. INVENT is the leader in providing support services for European Union innovation measures in the Estonian market. As a member of the Enterprise Europe network, IB has advised their clients in getting support from the 7th Framework Programme (FP7), Eurostars programme and the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP).

People employed by INVENT have previous experience from participating and coordinating a number of EU Framework Programme projects, long track record from the work as National Contact Point for Framework Programme 6, Information Society Technologies, eTen, eContent+, EUREKA and CIP programmes. This is complemented by extensive experience from a multitude of smaller European, national and regional programmes. Presently the company employs 13 people.

Services offered by INVENT are spanning over the entire technology development cycle:

Since space-related activities have started in Estonia, INVENT has established itself as a key service provider regarding all kind of space-related support activities. INVENT has been facilitating the process of Estonian European Space Agency (ESA) membership and more active participation of Estonian organization in FP7 “Space” thematic priority. In recent years, 2008-2010 INVENT has been leading different nation-wide space-related support projects in Estonia. As a result of latest projects different training seminars and study trips were arranged in cooperation with European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC); ESA Centre for Earth Observation (ESRIN), Italian Space Agency (ASI), UK Space Agency, German Aerospace Center (DLR), EADS Astrium, Logica and Surrey Satellite Technology. In addition, INVENT organised first ever and biggest Space Downstream Services 2010 Conference in Northern-Europe and Scandinavia. INVENT has been leading broker in space arena by helping to establish business contacts between prominent space players and Estonian SME`s.

As mentioned above, INVENT is a partner in Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) offering support and advice to Estonian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and research centres in technology transfer and international R&D cooperation. INVENT is also the Estonian National Contact Point (NCP) for Information Communication Technologies (ICT) Policy support Programme (PSP) under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP). INVENT is a member of Estonian Chamber of Commerce, which brings together nearly 3500 Estonian companies and industry representatives.
